Opera Updation!
LOCATION: Glyndbourne Opera House
It was actually surprisingly amazingly fantastic :)
Cosi fan tutti.
The rest of the group REALLY did not like it, one of them (NOT NAMING NAMES HARRY!) listened to their ipod all the way through the second half, with others dropping like [bored and sleepy] flies left right and centre.
But personally I enjoyed it. Which is often the case.
PLUS the grounds are pretty cool :) We jumped the HAHA.

(a HAHA is a trench kind of thing at the boundries of big country houses, whose owners wanted it to look as if their land went on forever by not fencing it in, but by surrounding it with a big trench!)

If..
Ok, heres the thing. I'm not a great poem lover, well I wasn't. This mainly due to the tedious hours spent analysing then writing about them in many english classes. However, recently, and I do mean very recently, I've developed a new capacity for appreciating them. Inspired probably by the fact I was told I was "fairly well read". Fairly? Fairly?? Well then.
Anyway, I have decided to share with you one of my favourites :)
not very original. but the classics are the best right?
IF you can keep your head when all about you
Are losing theirs and blaming it on you,
If you can trust yourself when all men doubt you,
But make allowance for their doubting too;
If you can wait and not be tired by waiting,
Or being lied about, don't deal in lies,
Or being hated, don't give way to hating,
And yet don't look too good, nor talk too wise:
If you can dream - and not make dreams your master;
If you can think - and not make thoughts your aim;
If you can meet with Triumph and Disaster
And treat those two impostors just the same;
If you can bear to hear the truth you've spoken
Twisted by knaves to make a trap for fools,
Or watch the things you gave your life to, broken,
And stoop and build 'em up with worn-out tools:
If you can make one heap of all your winnings
And risk it on one turn of pitch-and-toss,
And lose, and start again at your beginnings
And never breathe a word about your loss;
If you can force your heart and nerve and sinew
To serve your turn long after they are gone,
And so hold on when there is nothing in you
Except the Will which says to them: 'Hold on!'
If you can talk with crowds and keep your virtue,
' Or walk with Kings - nor lose the common touch,
if neither foes nor loving friends can hurt you,
If all men count with you, but none too much;
If you can fill the unforgiving minute
With sixty seconds' worth of distance run,
Yours is the Earth and everything that's in it,
And - which is more - you'll be a Man, my son!

By Rudyard Kipling.
Oh and also, apologies for the concentration of blogs today. I'm bored.

Tired
Tired of...
adverts
slow internet
insecurity
tactical hockey games
school rules
the song with the lyrics "come an take a ride on my disco stick"
broken facebook
old people's programs
trying to impress people
deadlines
mess
pointless conversation
trying to think of things I'm tired of
my nana fussing
my nan saying her dog "doesn't like going outside" when he blatantly does
breakfast tv presenters
my half decorated bedroom
limited colours for my blog text's colour
